Interesting, CM.

Has it actually been taken apart, or is being taken apart or should soon be taken apart? If you have a link to a decent article on this, I’d appreciate it.

Black Rock did it because there was money in it. They were offering consumers green choices and the companies making up those portfolios tended to be in newer, more flexible, higher growth technologies.

It's been taken apart in the US courts with Republican Ads threatening to make it illegal in various states, opening them up to huge litigation rise, as well as the greenwashing by a lot of companies because there are no actual standards in place, just companies best, or most optimistic guesses about their ESG status on a number of fronts.

Who is it that stoked up the race wars? Attack on British heritage, culture, history?

Influenced by government, the government can hardly stop soap dodging left wing ponces from applying for jobs can they? You honestly think this government are remotely conservative? What point of difference do the opposition have to play?

Re: Beeb ‘Liar’ BBC’s chief fact-checker accused of lying
The so called woke business is not necessarily a leftie thing, not when it’s the likes of Black Rock that are pushing for the ESG. Exactly why is hard to fathom. I don’t believe those hardcore investment fund types are bleeding heart liberals all of a sudden.

Leavemyarse (hard to shorten that name)

Well if you are correct then that's a failing of the right, not the left, seeing as though we have had a Tory Government for 13 years.

Almost all our 'institutions' are ultimately, directly or indirectly, accountable to - or heavily influenced by - the Government of the day. And my view is that the currently Government is very happy for culture wars (if that's what they are) not only to exist but to be stoked up as it gives them a point of difference over the opposition.

It is lefties though mate that have infiltrated most of our institutions: msm, sport, schools. I agree those in power should be doing more but let's face it there's hardly anyone with any bollox to bring about that change

Not at all, mate - quite the opposite.

If people have a problem with the national curriculum then they have a recourse - ie take it up with the Government / your MP or remember where the power lies at election time.
Not singling out you at all but blaming 'lefties' for everything lets those who have both precipitated a perceived ill and who have the power to bring about change, off the hook. And, without wishing to sound like a Crystal Palace Nigel, that's the way they like it.

Debs, so you think it's more or less as good as it was, bar comedy, which it wouldn't be possible to improve upon? I think it's markedly declined. Think that's it, yeah?

Lots of people have been mugged off by it so it must be true then? CRT has never been part of the curriculum.

If you want to talk about how race is taught in schools then that's one thing, but when you start framing it in terms of CRT then you're called into a hole full of bullshit.

You're covered in it.

Fo the Communist 6:48 Tue Sep 12
Re: Beeb ‘Liar’ BBC’s chief fact-checker accused of lying
While people scurry about looking for examples of CRT being taught in British schools, here's what The National Governance Association (the professional body for school governors) says about British values being taught in schools:

"All schools are required by law to promote the fundamental British values of democracy, the rule of law
individual liberty, mutual respect and tolerance of those with different faiths and beliefs.

"Ofsted inspectors consider how well a school promotes British values when judging the effectiveness of leadership and management.

"The role of governing boards is to ensure that the legal duty to promote fundamental British values is being met."

So its ultimately down to Government to police how 'British' a school curriculum is and Government has the powers to intervene if teaching in this are is not up to standard.

No WHU I think.some is and some isn't. In comedy terms I.think.the very best has already been done and would be nigh on impossible to.improve upon.

CRT is absolutely being taught in some schools in the UK.

It's not even a discussion if you're referring to the US.

I didn’t mention and wasn’t talking about its political element.

You’re right it will never please all. If you think it’s better now than what it was before, then that’s your opinion.

What good shows do they put out? The anti-british/white propaganda, the pro-eu stories?

Re: Beeb ‘Liar’ BBC’s chief fact-checker accused of lying
The BBC I grew up with WAS good. That's the key factor - WAS good. USED to be good.

Entertainment was entertainment and news (reporting) was news (reporting).

It seemed to all start unravelling at about the same time as satellite TV was introduced into the UK where it somehow felt that, as a public service, it, for whatever reason, had to start chasing viewing statistics; even worse, it started along the path of trying to lead public opinion, rather than simply report on it and let the viewers/listeners make the decisions on what such data meant.

That last part was as dishonest as it is profound as it leveraged the decades of trust it had built up, using that as if it was saying "We said that this (was true) in the past, and so it turned out to be, no need to concern yourself with whatever we say now. We are the BBC, after all."

As a major influencer, it dragged thousands - possibly millions - along for the ride and so powerful was that legacy that many of those followers - for that is all they are - simply won't allow the question of the BBC's current integrity to be considered, let alone raised up for open debate.

WHUif you take out the political.element. The right say.its too.left and the left say it's too right.....and there is probably evidence if you want to.look for it to.support both.

However on the basis of its output, the BBC still
puts out some very very good programming and sells some of it's shows for big bucks around the world. Its remit is provide entertainment news and factual programming,and .I don't remember who said this quote but in the case of a public service broadcaster trying to cater to.millions, its never been truer;

You can.please all.of the people some of the time...or some if the people all of the time but you can never please all.of the people all.of the time.

Re: Beeb ‘Liar’ BBC’s chief fact-checker accused of lying
The BBC used to be absolutely brilliant. Had programmes on it, that I wouldn't have sought out, that ended up to be really educational. i wouldn't have normally have watched plays, until I used to watch 'Play for today', some seminal TV from documeentaries to dramas. Great comedy too.

with it's world service, you could've classed it as one of Britain's finest exports.

It's actually a real shame what's happened to it.
